During this session, attorney Lindsay Raymond will provide an update on and best practices for recent legal developments and issues in the area of employment law, including without limitation, the EEOC’s updated guidance on harassment in the workplace, accommodations for pregnancy versus disability under the new Pregnant Workers Fairness Act regulations, planning for and complying with the DOL’s increased salary threshold for exempt status workers, a heightened DOL focus on independent contractor classification, and the FTC’s final rule regarding noncompetition covenants and related legal challenges.

About Our Speaker: 

Lindsay Raymond is an owner of DAR Law, a boutique law firm in Traverse City, Michigan. As an experienced management-side labor and employment attorney, she represents public and private businesses in all aspects of employment litigation, arbitration, and matters governing the workplace. She also counsels employers regarding the development and implementation of management practices and policies, and regularly conducts workplace investigations, trainings, and culture assessments.
