Meetings provide a valuable forum for a range of different functions, helping people to share ideas, make decisions, build team relationships, and even feel less lonely at work.  As HR professionals knowing how to run an effective meeting from on-boarding, team meetings, and one-on-one coaching is critical to their roles and organizational communications. All voices need to be heard and an effective meeting agenda and meeting facilitator skills are key to making that happen. In this session we will go over the tools needed to run a productive meeting for HR professionals.  

Participants will learn: 

• Determine what makes meetings effective and ineffective.
• Practice using a variety of process tools/activities.
• Develop an effective agenda.
• Deal effectively with difficult behavior such as sidebars, dominating personalities, etc.

Karen Goike is a certified Project Management Profession currently working as a Senion Business Advisor for the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center. With over 25 years of experience in project management and business analysis, she is a leader in project management, workflow analysis and design, productivity, and effective communication. Karen earned her Bachelor of Science Degree - Medical Technology from Western Michigan University. She is also a Board-Certified Medical Technologist, ASCP and is Lean Silver Certified for Healthcare Leaders.
