About Our Speakers: 

Darryl Lesoski, MD, MPH, FACOEM

Dr. Darryl Lesoski is the Medical Director of Occupational Health and Medicine for Munson Medical Center and the Munson Regional Occupational Health Network. A board-certified Occupational Medicine physician with more than 25 years of experience, he has led the growth of Munson’s occupational health services from a single clinic to a regional network serving employers, employees, and communities across Northwest Michigan. Prior to joining Munson, Dr. Lesoski served in the United States Navy as a Flight Surgeon and Senior Flight Surgeon for the Marine Corps, earning recognition for leadership and clinical excellence. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University, a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), and a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Jacob B. Szafranski, MD

Dr. Jacob Szafranski is an Emergency Medicine physician and Urgent Care Medical Director with Munson Healthcare. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, he completed his residency training at Henry Ford Hospital after earning his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a bachelor's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan. Dr. Szafranski provides emergency care at Munson Healthcare facilities in Cadillac and Grayling and leads urgent care services in Traverse City, including virtual urgent care operations. His professional interests include emergency department operations, clinical education, and improving access to high-quality acute care services.
