Meeting/Event Information

TAHRA has regularly scheduled programs throughout the year with the exception of July and August. Programs are designed to educate on a variety of HR topics, from small employers where the HR professional wears many hats to large employers with many HR professionals. TAHRA is a SHRM Recertification Provider and an HRCI Approved Provider.

About Our Session

This month's speaker, Natalie O'Hagan from the United Way of South Central Michigan will be discussing the concept of A.L.I.C.E. which stands for A sset L imited, I ncome C onstrained, E mployed. She will also discuss the United for ALICE at Work project and the impact for our workplaces and our employees. 

About Our Speaker

Natalie O’Hagan (she/her) has served United Way of South Central Michigan for over seven years, leading in multiple functions, but most recently as Senior Director of Strategy & Culture. In her current role, she primarily leads the organization in the execution and evaluation of the strategic plan, provides leadership over People and Culture, which includes human resources, employee engagement and wellness, as well as organizational change management work. She also supports the Community Impact team in providing strategic leadership over the small business loan and grant program as well as an emerging initiative, United For ALICE at Work, which focuses on supporting employers to improve policies and procedures with a goal of supporting their employees experiencing financial hardship. 

Natalie lives in Northern Michigan with her family. They love spending time outdoors, enjoy sports such as hockey and tennis, and she loves cooking. She has a strong passion for supporting women, BIPOC communities, and specifically, the LatinX population.
